An uplifting story on Sky announcing that FC United of Manchester (formed by breakaway fans of some other Manchester club) have nearly finished building their own 6 million pound ground with facilities for the team, women's team and youth teams. They raised 2 million from their own fans towards the final cost. The very best of luck to them.
AFC Wimbledon have just knocked MK Dons out of a cup....not on the same scale, but I bet it tasted sweet.
I was just going to Edit that and add it to my post. Yes, a big, big day that for AFC Wimbledon, beating their phoenix at the third attempt.
Good for them, certainly sounds like a proper community club. And even better, their women's team can use the ground too rather than being shoved into some shoddy dump outside the city, that makes me happy.
next season then.... did you go? Bet they took a few to swell the gate for Lancaster too (If it was at Lancaster)
