It was great to see Sharps in the PFA League 2 team of the year. He has been magnificent all season ( I can rarely remember such a consistent defender at our club) and thoroughly deserves the accolade. He can crown his superb year by leading us to victory and promotion on Saturday.
He was a bit ropey near the start of the season, but I think he was carrying an injury. I must admit that I got tired of some of his hoofball[SUP]TM[/SUP] clearances, but this along with the rest of the team seem to have sat back slightly and tried to build from the back which has resulted in some great footy. Well done to Sharps for this accolade.
Agreed - I admit I tend to take him for granted but what a player he's been for us. Mind you I still moan when he overhits his killer passes (at least 3 times per match)! But, what a shocking selection that team was, presumably because it was voted for far too early in the season (haven't they heard of the internet?). Four Torquay players but no sign of Grandison, Richards, Jacobson, Sherriff, Collins (not saying they should all have been in but none of them!?) - just can't take it seriously.
