Martin Olsson just won årets back, or Swedish defender of the year, at the Swedish annual sports gala. I've just watched him accept it live on TV. I know it won't mean much to many of us but I'm sure we're all thrilled to have Norwich players achieving these kind of levels. Jonas Olsson and Per Nillson were the other two finalists. Johan Elmander got a mention in the forward category but Zlatan is nailed on for that every year. He's won it seven years in a row! Unfortunately he'll probably also win goal of the year for *that* goal against England so I'll have to watch it yet again. Well Done Martin. I've been very impressed with what I've seen
He's a solid defender with real pace and great crossing ability to boot. I wasn't particularly unhappy with Garrido but I really think Olsson is a big step up!
Noticed some Swedish media reporting we are interested in Halmstads' striker Mikael Boman. Anyone know if there's any truth to this?
Don't know anything about him, but reading his Wiki page, he could be another possibility for the second striker/ACM role: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikael_Boman
