Massive achievement and it really does give the rest of us some hope that our club can do the same one day.

All telling them they was a nothing club why would he want to join you etc <laugh>

Fair play to them, it was with some luck that all the top teams went ****e this season but they took their chance over all the others.
And I was one of those people that was hoping from January that they would do it.

Absolutely brilliant!- A Villa fan said to me once, to experience the good times better, you have to have experienced some bad ones- He was referring to their time when they went down to the Old Division 3 and watching Villa beat the gas at a rainy, open ended Eastville.

We have had plenty of the not so good times and we all remember last season with so much value.

Leicester have been down there enough and its great what they have achieved-

Only downside is that they will now find thousands of fans that have supported Leicester all their lives, that they never knew they had!

Without a doubt. And that's why even the feeling of getting promoted from League One is 100x better for us than the feeling a Man Utd 'fan' will get from winning the title.

Leicester fans must feel like they've been on ecstasy pills all weekend!

A ray of sunshine in the pus-filled mire that is the over-paid Premiership. Gives hope to all REAL football fans that one day the impossible CAN be achieved.
Fantastic for Leicester - and a victory for REAL football.

That was Delboy - he insisted on playing him even though NM was refusing to sign his contract - and I thought it was £7m that Sven offered?
We should have bitten his hand off!

A great achievement and a great story that we may not see again for decades. It seems as though maybe the new-found, TV funded, super-wealth of the Premier League and its comparatively even distribution has closed the gap between the teams, rather than expanded it. I still believe that La Liga is the home of the most strong teams, but it's horribly managed and imbalanced. For a mid-table club like Stoke to be able to sign a bona-fide International star like Xherdan Shakiri would be thought of as impossible even a few years back - having said that, Leicester have picked up the majority of their star performers for comparative peanuts. There are a multitude of factors that contribute to their incredible achievement, but having talented (enough) players, playing to their strengths and with such a strong team ethic is a big contributor.

If there is a slight bitterness to it all for me, it's that I just don't warm to Jamie Vardy. Yes, he may be the lower-league player who has risen through the ranks and come good, but he comes across as a deeply unlikeable person. Arrested for assault, racist abuse, screaming and swearing in a referee's face (even though he'd made the right decision) and so on doesn't exactly make him a role model in my eyes. Danny Simpson also doesn't have a sparkling reputation.

That said, that shouldn't take anything away from the club and their fans. The glass ceiling of the 'Big Four' has been utterly smashed (congratulations should also go to Spurs for a great campaign) and gives us fans of 'smaller' clubs hope again.

I believe that NP did have some input into root of the team, would they have won the premiership with him in charge......for me NO

Reading the sports columns made me think more about this- It would seem that several of their players might leave, attracted by much bigger salaries elsewhere. I have said before that this is a one off and a Leicester fan said on the radio yesterday that he would be happy with a top 10 finish, next season- There were several others of course, dreaming of much bigger things.

I have no idea of what wages Vardy and Schmichael are on but I wouldn't mind betting its not that great in comparison to what they might command.

Question is, can Leicester hang on to them and would the players want to?

Schmicheal is a very good keeper and somewhat underrated.. He is in the shop window now and could command a big money move.

Vardy was plucked from non league not that long ago and should stay one season more at least for me.

Kante is quality and will be difficult to keep.

Mahrez is also quality but he should also stay another season, again plucked from relative obscurity.

... thanks for the kind words lads - much appreciated...

... to answer a few points ... yes it does feel like being on ecstasy :) ... wasn't too long ago that I sat in home seats at Hereford Utd at Easter watching us win on the way to the League One title...

... as to hanging on to our best players? ...money not a problem according to our wonderful Thai Billionaire owners. ... but they won't keep players who are not happy to stay at the club ...

...most mind boggling statistic on our success. ... .Man United have apparently spent more on player transfers in the last 2 years than we have in our entire 132 year history ...
