What does "top trending worldwide hashtag" mean, is like the most looked at or most spoken about or something? I may have guessed that I don't use twitter.
Why waste time guessing? Surely you'll be well placed to know whether you use Twitter or not? I'm with you on the original question, though.
It means it's the most popular topic in the world on twitter at the moment. If you want your tweet to be grouped together with all the others on the same topic you put a hash in front of it e.g. #hurricanebawbag. If users then click on that, they can then see all the other tweets with that hashtag. You can already buy Hurricane Bawbag T-shirts

Well Hurricane Bawbag is doing it's job. The building where my office is located is closing up shop. Apparently there's a Government warning not to travel after 1pm this afternoon.
