It really could be worse - we could have vanished from football all together over recent years.

If something doesnt change i feel there will be a fair few supporters wishing we had especially if we enter the season with the playing staff we currently have.

    The Goalkeeper = Outstanding
Back four = Questionable - definately lacking pace.
Midfield = Hardworking in parts - definately lacking pace.
Forward line = Questionable, but could spring a surprise here and there.

Based upon what i think is a fair assessment of our qualities, looks like Paddy is in for another busy busy season :)

Still it should be fun watching and who knows we could surprise a few people along the way. Skill, pass and quality are all good attributes, but without commitment and desire they mean nothing. Lets hope that our commitment and desire make up for weaknesses elsewhere.

If we lose Taarabt I'd say that we are no stronger than derby were in 2007 when they accumulated 1 win and 8 draws all season.

In Warnock I trust, hopefully the man can work miracles, I have everything crossed.

    23 days to go

And about another 20 days before he comes to his senses and runs for the hills :) Whilst he is still there, then we always have a chance..

Rodney, your post is a well balanced take on things but you are trying to put people's backs up with a title like that.

Give it a break, its bad enough

If there's a transfer fee involved - and seeing as the BBC are desperate for money, I would imagine there would be - forget about it!!!

Apologies. I was just trying to make a point. It could have been far worse, at least we still have a club to support and moan about. The one good think about this entire mess is that, most of us have kept a sense of humour and have demonstrated a common sense of desire for the club to be treated in a fair and decent manner.

I'd like to congratulate the QPR score board, for supplying the team and sub names before the game

You've identified most of our needs there R66. Two essential components missing tough imo: midfield creativity and a strong leader on the pitch (good, solid, almost ever present captain).

Derry's by far the best bet for the captain role but has he got the stamina to last the season? Faulin's also been mentioned but cute as he may be, has he got the natural authority and tactical skills?
