Has he ****ed off yet? you reckon Kirchoff Khazari and Kone were anything to do with him or all Big Sam?
Not sure about the two French as I believe Sam had tried to sign Kone for WHU, but I would not be surprised if he was the one who unearthed Mackembaur from Congerton's days at Hamburg. Fringe player at Bayern who had been out on loan during which he got a long term injury so not a prime candidate for a new contract with Bayern. I doubt if anybody was looking at him until we expressed interest.
I can't claim that one as I read it on another site but having been around in the Beckenbaur era can't resist calling Kirchoff it.
Good question but I doubt we will ever know, I wondered earlier if Sam had anything to do with West Hams summer intake as it was pretty impressive, we never find out much about the goings on behind the scenes for obvious reasons but it is the key to a successful club. You can draw your own conclusions about our past incumbents, mixed bag to say the least.
If John Stones is worth £50m this lad is worth twice that! "Mackembaur" love it Wonder how many thought we'd be talking of him in this mould after his debut! If his fitness issues are sorted then we have a truly next level player on our hands and need to extend his contract past the end of next season. - him and M'Vila in midfield are both top players - but the thing I like most about our side at the moment is that we only have 2 loanees in M'Vila and Yedlin. Yedlin is improving game on game (Distribution may not be great but his defensive game is 10000% better than it was - and also much better than Billy Jones'). Means, as long as we stay up, we have a very good nucleus of a squad. Cattermole improves with better players around him. He was again excellent at the weekend. Best midfield we've had in a long time with all fit and firing.
