    When does the FA's transfer window officially open?

    Looking on Wikipedia, it says that the window is open now. However, I thought it was only open for one month (i.e. 1st to 31st of a certain month).

    It starts in June, unlike it used to be on July 1st. But you can buy players in advance now.

    You can buy players anytime. But you cannot get their contract until the window opens.

    Correct. But this ones open waaaay more than a month, doesn't close until September does it?

    That basically means that the domestic transfer window is now fully open and that clubs from other international leagues (i.e. La Liga) can buy players from 9th June onwards.

    So we're currently free to bring in any player that we want.

    On Footy Manager it's the 9th, but your chairman doesnt give you money til the end of the month so all the other teams get a headstart on you <steam>
