Nice to have some news of incomings again to get excited about despite never having heard of them. Glad to see we are following our usual format of teenager + female name. Shame theres no double barrel though. Attacker...does that mean he is likely to be a 10 for us or a striker?
Turns 20 next week, so he's practically a pensioner. 7 goals in Ligue 1 as a teenager (at a very good goals/minute rate), including a fantastic finish to the year with 5 goals in 7 (346 mins), and very productive for the French U20s. Want some Zapruder film still shots? Here they are! https://breakingthelines.com/player...-latest-gem-to-emerge-from-bordeauxs-academy/
Adding to this, that is such a dick move from Newcastle given how much money they have. I'm glad Saints have done things the right way and it may help save Bordeaux from going under.
Bordeaux have experienced a rather torrid time of late. Once a stalwart of Ligue 1 and Champions League regular, the club endured relegation to Ligue 2 after a dreadful 2021/22 campaign. Bordeaux have now suffered the ignominy of being relegated to the Championnat National due to their financial troubles. The club is likely to appeal the decision over the coming weeks as they believe it to be ‘brutal’. A bright spark of Bordeaux’s season has been the emergence of Sékou Mara, the young striker has broken through into the first team. He is predicted to be the next star of French football, with great talent and immeasurable understanding of the game
https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...=/videos/search?q=S%c3%a9kou+Mara&FORM=HDRSC3 4 and a half minutes of YouTube and only 4 goals - that's Shane Long's replacement sorted then!! Only kidding, he must be fairly well thought of as he's been linked with Newcastle, Leeds and Borussia. Anyone know much about him?
I don't know a huge amount about this guy but he seems like another exciting young talent joining the ranks. We still need another striker and a creative player ideally. Looking at what our starting XI could be: Bazunu Tino (when back from injury) Salisu ABK KWP JWP Lavia Stuey Aribo Che Mara That results in an average age of 22.9!
All the more impressive that he did this for Bordeaux, who were crap last season and finished bottom. It will be a huge leap for a (soon-to-be) 20 year old but he seems very well regarded and has attracted interest from elsewhere.
Nothing better than a transfer out of nowhere - Saint Gaston sagas can be fun of course but so exhausting. Looks class and very highly rated at a decent price. Hoping we get another striker in after losing both Long and Broja but this is a great start.
In France, Nice and Lyon have previously been linked with the France U21 international, but the player is now attracting attention from overseas. The most “concrete” interest comes from Newcastle, who have shifted their focus to Mara having missed out on Hugo Ekitike Now I don’t think anyone predicted we would beat Newcastle to any signings this summer It says he was ‘unconvinced’ by their interest
