Here we go from being the next "special one" to errrrrr we didn't really want him anyway. Your stuck with Rafa, f%#king hilarious.
My 2 year old daughter could manage Barcelona to a La Liga title. They use 1 tactic and hope their Superior skills means they will outplay the opponent, which admittedly it quite often does. But seriously, that team is one of if not THE best team assembled in professional football history. You would have to be seriously mentally challenged to not win atleast 1 trophy per season with that team, no matter how good a manager you are. When was the last time Barcelona changed the outcome of a game that was going bad by making a tactical substitution or change of formation?? Never.... They just continuously plug away playing their own brand of football until it gets results, which again, admittedly 90% of the time it does. Unless they come up against tactical geniuses like Mourinho.
It does look increasingly likely that Roman's hire & fire policy is now coming back to haunt your club. Despite what has been written above Guardiola is a good manager and Chelsea would seem a great move but who wants to work for a trigger happy maniac who splashes out £50m on a faliure like Torres? Shame really as I would like to see him manage here but its the FSW lacky's that you'll be getting from now on. He obviously wanted a degree of stability and lets face it, at Chelsea that option isn't on the table. If Guardiola is so rubbish - 'My 2 year old daughter could manage Barcelona to a La Liga title.' - how comes he's running rings around Mourinho? Rafa will be happiest man at the Club tonight
I think some on here are underestimating Guardiola. In his four seasons years he won three leagues, two domestic cups, two champions leagues, three supercopas, two UEFA supercups and two club world cups. In the decade before Guardiola, Barcelona won three leagues, no domestic cups, two supercopas and one champions league. That's 14 cups v 6, in less than half the time. He turned a good team into arguably the best team of all time, and managed to design a new brand of fantastic football along the way. I reckon he'll do very well at Bayern, and if he replaces Ferguson, he'll do very well here too.
