He's no Mata, but whenever I've seen him turn out for Basel he's certainly been their stand out player.
Last couple of years I've been surprised he's still been at Basel as looks far too good for that league. However not quite sure he is our first team standard and would imagine he'd largely be a squad player / impact sub. Spurs and Liverpool have been linked and I would have thought they would be better options for him if he wants first team football.
He's a winger, Mata is a #10 so no he is not Mata's replacement other than taking his spot in the squad. Pretty obvious really methh

True but with the amount of games we normally play in a season, he'll get a chance to impress and then it's down to him. Certainly looked very lively when I've seen him play in Europe.
I think he knows he'll be off the bench. He is more of an out and out winger than anyone we have now. He'll be a sub in games we need something different or to use his pace as teams tire.
He'll definitely play, and it's up to him to impress the manager. I guess time will tell, could be a steal or could end up being a big mistake on his behalf. The lad definitely has talent though
