A couple of thoughts on this: 1. We don't know how much of Kilkenny's wages are being paid by Preston - all (hopefully!) or just part - whichever it is it will release some wages budget 2. Very interesting to hear SoD's response to the question about why he was not playing Kilkenny - he basically said it was because of the crowd reaction when he comes on - he went on to say it was a similar situation with Liam Fontaine - we all need to realise that when we vent our frustration it does have an impact
The players also need to realise why we release our frustration. Kilkenny was a very very poor player. He was never improving and people were getting fed up of him playing, me being one. Truth is im glad he has gone. One of the worst players I have ever seen in a city shirt.
Understand the frustration of the fans ....... but we ended up with an experienced player who could have done a job for us sitting on the sidelines
He was given a chance to do a job for us at Championship level. He showed there that he was a below average player. Shame how it all ended but he would have never been able to perform for us, even if fans weren't on his back, didn't have the quality to offer.
From now until his contract expires he would of earned 200k for doing **** all..... Oh how footballers piss me off sometimes. Then again the board who offered him that type of money need shooting.
No we have seen the last of him now. In January he will be a free agent.... and trust me when I say. You are bloody welcome to him!
Please remind me but wasn't the general opinion from his previous club's supporters that we were wasting our time and money?
Remember - we were all hungry for the prem and City had to throw money about to compete. Easy to blame the Board but they were backing the manager of the day who clearly rated NK. The Board make many mistakes as we all do in our lives but we can't pin everything on them. I seem to recall that Leeds offerred him a new contract but we offerred more money and NK took it. Can't blame him for that. Can blame him for being ****e though......
Experienced at what? Pointing and blaming everyone around him. He's ****e and blames everyone else, for his mistakes. . I saw him at Watford last year as a sub it looked like he tried staying back into the position he thinks he's best at in front of the back four. And I'm sure McInnes put Morris on just to push him forward. He can't head the ball, can't tackle surely that's what a defensive midfielder should at least be able to do. And guess what after that game he was so called injured, like when he was earlier this season. This news has put me in a very good mood, the Mrs just commented that it's down to her saying he's her new favourite player after she worked out all her favourites leave. Well done to me Julie because her plan worked this time.
Don't get me wrong I don't rate him as a player - in fact I continually said he could not play in a 4 man midfield My point is the fan reaction did not help the situation. I am angry about the way Fontaine was treated - someone who made over 200 appearances deserved a bit more respect
