Carl Fletcher is "confident that Argyle will avoid the drop", if he wasn't it would be just as well to go on holiday,he commented. He is also saying that he is "unconcerned about Argyle's lack of goals" adding that if "you keep making the chances and you will score". Well I'm pleased to hear all that Carl.........you stick at it and I'll go on holiday........there must be a motorway island somewhere I can hide on until the inevitable happens.
I'm bloody concerned at the lack of goals. If we aren't scoring but are only conceding 1 a match we arent Going to avoid the drop. Bring lecointe back in, quality goal v Poland u18s!
Hang on ladies and gentlemen, what did you expect him to say? We are definately down but I'll try to make the right noises until it's confirmed? Now you mostly all think that but if he had said it............world war III again.
I would expect him to say .... it is now apparant that I really wasn't up for the job and I could have served the team better out on the pitch ..... but he wont !
No you didn't really think that Gat. It may be something you would have liked him to say but that's another thing altogether.
If Carl Fletcher is our best player (I for one haven't rated him that good) then it was his duty to be on the pitch. Was he not a player who was promoted to Player/Manager,why is he not then playing and managing. If he never intended to do both, then he took the job on under false pretences and his job title should of been changed.......making him less valuable to the club. He started off as if he had just been shopping in Saville Row,nice smart suit.........he certainly didn't look like a Player/Manager. I'm dreading these next two home games.......if we don't win them both then we are desperately depending on the clubs around us to do no better. We have got to do better than two of them.......I'm more concerned that tonight (Sat) we could be rock bottom again 24th. I will be so pleased if my 2-0 defeat prediction is totally wrong and we win.........and do the same on Tuesday evening......and are opponents in the drop zone do badly.
Talk is cheap-we have the lowest goal tally (17) at home in the league, that would be fine if we were nicking 1-0 wins consistently like the Gulls, but -well we all know the reality.Lose the next two games, and the other teams gain points (again) and we start dropping through the trap door.
i hope you dont dip and there are plenty of games left to go,another hopeful bonus, there are still a few teams around you who couldnt win a raffle,so all not lost,i also suspect nothing will be sorted until the last game of the season,if thats the case it will be soil your pants time
well played lads and other results went with you. if ever i wanted shrews to lose this season it was away at argyle. now ginsters or no ginsters go for it argyle. well done argyle. aj
Well done today, hope you avoid the drop.Always thought you were a bit like us in many ways.Good luck!
Ged in there. One weekend down and out and the next one................... This season is a right old see saw job. Todays result was massive. Tuesday's result will be ?????????
I shall find a cupboard to hide in I think, what Argyle will turn up........who the hell knows.........certainly not them .
It is going to be a very long end to the season but we are still there and fighting. Winner from the heart of Argyle, despite all the off pitch turmoil why we let Wotts go is beyond me, just cross fingers, toes, legs and anything else that can cross and hope we hold in there. Ohh for BWP and Mase up front now where would we be..... But whatever, we achieved what we started out for realistically and we still have a club to support.
Steady on mexijan..........your not allowed to mention BWP.........I've been slated by Mrs LaLa & sensible for reminiscing about him......having seen him score recently.
Still rather have Mase TBH Plym doing it in the Championship and at Wembley but sicknote would be a good second choice
