Confident Top 4 ?

Hey guys

Anyone feel we have the potential to maintain another challenge at the top?

Feel we are just waiting to click and kick on hopefully players coming back from injury and those returning from International duty will get to gel this week and now we will have players and a squad in depth just hope Br keeps it simple.

not as confident as you it seems sadly.

i feel we need players jan window to have a chance of finishing top4. (will we get them, didn't do anything last jan window did we?)

sadly as of know i see somewhere between 4-6 no more, unless we have that run again, but do we have the players to manage it? squad is better, but first team has gone downhill badly.

 

But we have Toure and Skrtel in centre defence now though dont we?

 

That's my overall feeling, but there are some short/medium injuries to contend with and other injuries may still occur (Markovic)

 

We definitely have the potential, it's what we do with that potential that will make the difference between top 4 and also-rans.

Are you Canadian, Irish, Scouse ..... a bit of all?

 

I'm still pretty confident - we've had a relatively tricky start to the season in terms of the teams we've faced, injuries, lack of form and integrating new players are lot sooner than we would have liked.

Once we get Sturridge and Allen back, we will restore the balance in the team. It will give the defence a little more protection but more importantly, it will give our attack a much needed boost.

However, I think another striker, DM and good young keeper is required in January. Borini and Lambert are a waste of space quite frankly,

 

Im confident that once Sturridge is back and up to speed we'll be fine <fingerscrossed>

 

I think Lambert can do a job for us once the stage fright disappears, we've seen him come on in one game and change the game, he has the potential to be an effective impact sub. Not sure on Borini, he clearly believes he has something to offer - time to show us.

 

There are a couple of players that havent hit the heights of last season. Sterling for one has tailed off since the Spurs game. Lallana is looking better with every game as well. Once we have a few players back from injury I think we will see an upturn in form.

I think that the manager has made a couple of mistakes as well, but as long as he learns from them thats ok.

 

I'm still hopefull that we can turn this around.

 

I reckon this is something he's growing better at.

 

Fair point - as an impact sub, he has his uses.

 

We will get 4th.
If not in the premier league then at least in our champions league group.


Seriously: yes we will. 3rd or 4th in PL.

 

Still too early to say. I think Chelsea will win the league easily but we are only 4 points off second after a terrible run of results. So far the new signings have disappointed, Lovren, Balotelli and Markovic have been extremely poor so far and our defence has not improved since last season, not helped by the terrible form of Mignolet. We have a run of games now though that we should really be winning so there is a chance to build some confidence and hopefully things will click like they did last year.

It's possible. I think we have the players to compete for at least 4th...can't see anyone beating Chelsea if they keep their key players fit

Then it's a matter of how many of our players click if we do better than 4th.

Of course, although the squads improved I still think we're a couple of key injuries away from failing to make it.

 

As long as we don't play Mario we'll win the league

 

So is Maplescouse yet another alter ego? Someone having fun while things are a bit quiet
