I cant help thinking that Mr Wenger is simply gettin what hes preached for !
    No tackling game !
Mr Wilshere sent off for basically 2 inocuous challenges !
not a bad challenge in the game
Rooney not made a challenge all game
sligthly catches a Arsenal player on the run !
    booked !
I know refs get a cv on what to do but ...
Lets go to Mr Mike Dean !
IM not sure its his fault but ffs how bad is it when any challenge that is made and mistimed results in a booking !!
    its killing the game !
i dont know how much longer this carries on b4 we introduce women into the premier league to play !!!!
I speak in jest but fellas but its scary whats goin on about the bookings etc !!:emoticon-0101-sadsm

    PP,

If nothing else it would make the shirt swapping more interesting, but it's a business now rather than a game, i'm just waiting for the first ref to be sued for not protecting a player that gets injured!!!

Wenger is a idiot end of...

Had he used half of his brain cells whe would have taken Wilshere off. But hey, he must not have seen anything wrong. Fergie did take of their player because he saw what was going to happen. And it did. So much for his (no contact game) pft. Whinge on Wenger or is it Karma?

    Tbf potts very true
makes you think dont it .. it does seem to bite Wengers arse time and again
the fact remains tho i think he has had a lot to do with football now being a non contact sport so that his pretty boys can play as he wants them too]
f*** the rest they dont all live in a 60000 seater crowd and dont earn as much as us !
and have been in the premier league forever ??
Wenger dont think about that when the majority of the prem scrap for survival and yes i agree as a business as well now
I do think tho he must a top manager but these last few yrs he has shown his arse big time for his constant bleating if they dont win ..... terrible loser
and the fans are just the same .. they feed of him

Wenger is a great football manager, but seems lacking in certain attributes to be a rational human being.

  7. In todays' climate Wilshere could have gone off earlier for a second tackle which was reckless. Wenger is plain stupid if he thinks that the sending off was underserved. For if Whitehad had made those challenges SCFC would have been in every newsapaper in the country. Dean made the right decision. Fergie does not complain and nothing more is said.

Why Wenger did not take off Wilshere in place of Ramsey, I fail to understand.

It was similar to TP taking off Kightly, Whelan & Ethrington at Reading and leaving Whitehead on, only to get sent off!

When I was watching the highlights, I'd already heard Wilshire had been sent off, and was surprised that he wasn't sent off earlier for that second tackle.
If I was Mr. Wenger I'd have been making the sub as soon as the lad got away with that second tackle. As it goes, I don't really like Wilshire that much. He seems to be developing the "Rooney complex", by which I mean the media have hyped him up so much, saying several times that he is the next England star, that its turned him into a bit of a dick, who thinks he can do whatever he wants.
But back to the point, as you mentioned, if it was Whitehead there would be no end of negative coverage about it. BTW, I used to really like whitehead a couloir of seasons ago, but now he looks a liability every time I see him.
