While Pompey were having a miserable day in Morecambe there were serious developments closer to the home front in the Conference South. Gosport's home defeat at the hands of St Alban's City means that Havant & Waterlooville are guaranteed a play off place. Borough could still sneak into the playoffs as well, but need Whitehawk to slip up in their final two fixtures, at home to Hemel Hempstead and away to the Hawks. They would also need to pick up a point more than Concord Rangers, who play at home to Hayes & Yeading and finish at already relegated Farnborough. Borough themselves visit Bishop's Stortford before finishing at home to Bromley.
Hope the Hawks can go up via the play offs. If Eastleigh fail to get promoted to the Football League, the two of them can then resume local derbies again.
