Don't think me too soft - there are a few who I feel a bit of sour medicine would be just desserts for, but personally I feel that once the banter settles down a bit (and, let's face it, it would be exactly the same if roles were reversed), most of us will look at the city of Bristol and recognise that what has happened to your lot is just another indication of what a backwater of sport we really are. All you genuine fans keep the faith - you will be back.
Thanks bcfcr&w. Aside from a few I'm quite dumfounded how many reds have sent well wishes. Maybe they're still in a state of shock like me.
There are some of us on both sides who Are justified to bear a grudge. I am fortunate enough not to ever have been caught up in anything more serious than banter. Most of us recognise that it's a sad time for Bristol football.
