Based on what exactly? We aren't finished in the market and we have bought in more players than most teams have at this point......

It just so happens that we started in attack. I am pleased with Vaughan and Morison and Bennett has very good delivery to feed the strikers.

Many people laughed at Blackpool and said they'd be relegation fodder, but they gave it a really good go.

I personally feel we have a better manager than them, and a better squad overall (Adam being the exception).

I think Swansea, ourselves and Q.P.R will be a lot bigger task than many people expect. I'm not saying we're going to set the PL on fire or anything, just that we will fight til the last minute and if the PL teams don't respect us - we will steal points from them...only takes a little lack in concentration heading to the 90th minute for us to pop up and steal points.

We will be fitter, stronger and more determined than we were this season come Wigan away - I'm sure of that.

I know you're not finished. I mean that if the rest of your signings are similar to the ones you are making now you won't really have strengthened your team at all. None of your signings so far IMO could cut it in the Prem as any more than back up.

That's why you are like me and are posting on an internet forum!

You are not a football manager and never will be. Fergie rates him and he is the type of manager and person that would not want his players making a fool out of themselves in the best league in the world. If he thought he wasn't good enough, he wouldn't be coming here.

At least we're bringing new players in to bolster an already strong team, rather than losing key player after player like LUFC! I really like the players who have come in so far - Vaughan and Morison both bring pace and height and Bennett brings pace and versatility for both creating and scoring goals. De Laet also brings pace and versatility right across the back four and possibly DMF as well. We now have cover and competition at every position and we're not finished yet. I think we owe Paul Lambert a bit of trust on this one, especially as many people were questioning the addition for Crofts and Fox last year. They did more than all right, IMO!

Fully agree Rick. As I said on another thread our original business plan allowed for a relegation back to the Championship before a return to the Premiership and consolidation. If that happens then PL is assembling an excellent squad to give us a shout at staying up but also a quick return if we fail.

Still think we need a central midfield player, a 'keeper and a decent centre half. That's not to say the ones we have aren't any good but I'd like to see a bit more competition in those areas. However, wisest move would be to see how we are fairing in January and if we need to strengthen, we will still have the cash to do so. I think PL may have mentioned something similar to this already.

Not sure I agree, we need prem quality, yes, but take a look at our last top flight season. Other than Hucks (who had been decent in the prem before coming to Norwich) all our other better players of that season were players already in the squad or players signed from lower leagues (Ashton).

Our mistake last time was signing players on their reputation. I think we are doing the right thing in signing hungry players from the lower leagues and youngsters who are yet to break in to their current prem club sides. These are all the kind of players that will give that little bit extra to stay in the prem.
