After subbing Ji after two minutes into the second half makes me wonder why he chose to humiliate a player in such a way.why did he not make the change at half time,or is it the ego in the man,if he thinks Ji isnt good enough why is he still here.In my opinion doing things like that does nothing to encourage a positive dressing room ,quite the opposite, hope this doesnt backfire on the club.

I imagine he had a word with Ji at halftime, told him to go out in the second half, forget about the fans getting on his back, and play his game. But guess it was clear from his 3 minute cameo that his head still wasn't right and the talk at halftime hadn't helped, so subbed him.

No way he did it intentionally to humiliate him or anything ridiculous like that, PDC has come out since that game and said words along the lines of he knows Ji is a quiality player, he just needs to not let pressure get the better of him.

I think you are reading more into this than you need too.

Whats to say he didn't mean to sub him at half time, but was so fuming he forgot whilst screaming at them about an abysmal performance?
Then looked up and went "Oh **** he should be off!" :p

I find it funny that fans are saying he shouldn't have taken him off because he should have known how fans would have reacted etc. Maybe the fans should have actually have been supportive?

Also it's very plausible Di Canio told him he wanted to see a mental improvement from Ji. I wouldn't be surprised if Di Canio studied Ji for the whole time he was on the pitch for the second half and was able to conclude his head wasn't in the game so he subbed him off

Maybe he was foolish enough to think the fans would appreciate the fact he put himself about like a blue arsed fly even though nothing else went right for him.

When it comes down to it Jerry 100% of the time we are second guessing any decision taken in football.
Unless a manager actually comes out and explains his actions.

I did have a good laugh at the Sess drank and drove to force a move conspiracy theory mind.

PDC manages this way. Its his way of telling players buck up or **** off.

Far from demoralising me, if he had done that to me I'd be ****ing seething and out to prove the ****er wrong next time I got a chance and thats what Paolo will want to see from him.

Its a big lads world out there and PDC wants men not boys competing so if Ji sulks or goes back into his shell then he will be peddled.

On another note, I don't rate Ji at all but I heard the crowd reaction to him being subbed on Tuesday and tbh, I was totally ashamed to be a Sunderland fan. He needs support not abuse and if he simply cant cut it then he needs moving on. He doesn't need his own fans making him feel like a complete **** and Sunderland fans of old would not have acted this way at all.
