Before anyone thinks hes injured, hes not. Theres a bigger issue here which is himcoming to collect crosses coming into the box on Saturday which is one thing he doesnt do. Hes a good stopper yes, but he doesnt come to collect crosses as shown in well every game he has played this season and against a team who put quality balls in, like what Newcastle did, I worry we could leak goals from balls coming into the box. Anyone else share this concern about him coming for crosses? because for me, when a ball comes in and around the 6 yard box, he needs to claim these crosses and if he doesnt, we could be 9 games without a win. Fingers crossed Johnson is out and Zigic is still injured.
I agree he is not that great at crosses, but what is the alternative, a half fit Gordon who is carrying an injury? We have no choice but to start with Mig mate.
A lot of the gaols conceded lately have been through bad keeping and yes I agree about him on crosses. I have said before he doesn't seem to instil confidence in the defenders on corners etc. IMHO the sooner Gordon is back the better.
Unfortunately I have my doubts about Gordon as he has too many faults for a goalkeeper that cost 9 million. For me it's a case of six of one, half a dozen of the other.
Well said mate, I made the same comment on a thread a few weeks back and said both goalkeepers were useless at crosses and was shot down. Mig is a good shot stopper but pathetic at crosses his boots must be heavy cos he is glued to his line
