https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/hull-city-concept-kit-designs-8506946 Hull City's big kit reveal is not too far away as the new season edges slowly into view, and after nine years, it will see a new name on their black and amber shirts for the start of the Championship season. After supplying some truly memorable strips in recent years, City's deal with iconic Manchester-based supplier Umbro has come to an end, with the Tigers set to announce their new agreement with the Turkish arm of sportswear giant Kappa in the coming weeks. City first started working with Umbro in 2007 before the brand began supplying kits each season from 2014 and has covered some of the club's most iconic moments. Talk of the new deal is nothing new, with whispers of the deal with Kappa sending City fans into a frenzy for a few months now and with the launch moving closer before Acun Ilicali confirmed at a recent event, supporters have been coming up with a variety of new designs. READ MORE: Patience the name of the game for Hull City in competitive transfer market Designer Lautaro de Silva has joined the growing trend of concept kit creators and has come up with a fresh take on what City's new strips could look like for the new Championship campaign. Featuring front of shirt sponsor Corenden Airlines - the Turkish firm who will see their name splashed across City's home, away and third strip for the second successive season - the designs show off the club's famous black and amber stripes, while the away strip bears a striking blue design. Owner Acun Ilicali has played a significant part in the design of City's new strips, with the Turkish businessman working closely with the club's existing retail staff and a former head of retail operations at Super Lig giants Fenerbahce.
Nobody said it was the real kit, hence the title of “concept kit” doesn’t mean it can’t be commented on if people like it or not.
Apparently, there’s two designs put forward for the home kit. One is black and amber stripes and the other is amber with black pinstripes. The latter design apparently resembles the 1982 home shirt. Think this but with black pinstripes. It may or may not have the amber and red detailing on the collar and cuffs. Not sure.
That looks as if it has the trademark Kappa slim style fit, contrast detailing on the sleeves is similiar to other Kappa 2023 kits, neckline is quite simple though. As this kit will be being produced by Kappa in Turkey as Acun holds the Kappa franchise for Turkey, I would have expected a bit more wow factor. Best get on the diet lads, these slim fit kits are going to be tricky wear.
I don’t know whether it’s genuine or not, it’s just what’s been leaked on various social media sites. Looks boring to me, but I’m not the target audience anyway
They're not going to be at all happy with someone posting a picture before the launch, I suspect the Botantic lads won't be getting a sneak preview of any future kits.
I was hoping for the amber design with black pinstripes as apparently there were two shown during that fan meeting. And if that pic is the final product, it confirms my worry that we’ve gone with the skin-tight design which is ****. Shame really as there are some decent Kappa kits like Venezia and Palermo’s season just gone and Fiorentina’s for 23/24 looks decent as well. They’re also looser-fit with a nice collar.
Sorry… Is that it then do we think? I just copied what’s all over SM. Bit drab so hopefully they’ve stitched someone up with one concept, now know they’re not to be trusted, and release something great.
I don't have any info regarding kits, unfortunately. I was shown some pics and that design looks an awful lot like a Kappa one I saw a few weeks back. I didn't think to ask, to be honest, I really focus on player stuff.
If that is the one, personally I think thats the best shirt I've seen in a long long time. Not keen on location of the badge or the kappa logos though.
