As the title says. Basically, I have a job interview for an accounts assistant position tomorrow. I have a Diploma in Computer Science from Hull University. I'm trying to prepare for the interview by knowing the skills that are transferable and can highlight to the interviewer to give me the best chance of landing it. So far I have: Problem solving Organising Time keeping Data Analyis Data entry Does anybody else have more I could highlight? And do any accountants have any advice they could give me? Cheers.
Solving technical issues by deleting the temporary C:\Windows\System32 folder then restarting the computer
Having known people with computing qualifications, one of the things I would say you need to be mindful of is that the 'data analysis' applied by computer people is quite often very different to what is required by data analysts in specific fields and they usually also lack sufficient or appropriate knowledge of statistics and probability. This is largely because they do not have the expertise, knowledge or experience of the subjects and make fundamental errors in assumptions.
It doesn't matter a **** anyway, if global boiling doesn't get us all then WWIII which is now definitely gearing up will kill this flat Earth off forever. May as well have done a course on Advanced Cake Decoration all the good it will do. I know it's not like me to be fatalist as I am usually so optimistic but we are all ****ing doomed.
Thsnk you for this. I'm looking into accounting data Analyis is see what comparisons i can find between the two areas. You've definitely given me something to consider. Thank you so very much
