Would it work? Could we look at something that CTWD, the Allam family and The FA can all agree on? Something like allowing the name change for a probationary period of, say, two years. If it draws in provable and sizeable additional revenue, great, if it only attracts ridicule, not great. I'm only throwing this out there as it is blatantly obvious that both sides are digging their heels in, and many, Steve Bruce and the squad included, find themselves inreasingly entrenched in the middle of a total **** storm, at what should be one of the most enjoyable periods in our history. Surely to God we can all act like adults and find at least a temporary compromise, otherwise my fear is that my club is on the precipice of imploding. There, I've said it!
Bore off. Its up to the FA and they made their decision so why are you starting another pointless post?
I'm not sure whether that's sarcastic or not, however it takes bigger men to resolve a problem than to start one.
At least if Allam got the name change i would find it so funny thinking of you cringing like hell, that really would make me smile.
What the Allam's and CTWD think is now irrelevant, the FA have already made their decision and they're not going to reverse it.
No party would ever go for that. If it did attract ridicule then its too late that cant be undone, and I for one wouldn't trust Allam to change it back he says hes a man of his word but he has proven that he cant be trusted.
I think you'll find its your thread that's idiotic. You obviously fail to grasp that its up to the FA and no one else, even though its been pointed out countless times.
A compromise that, as I said, would include, all of the parties involved, CTWD, the Allam's, AND The FA, around a table, no petty mud slinging from any party, it's the only way forward as far as I can see. Unless others can come up with a viable alternative, because the longer this goes on, the more it looks like two sets of children squabbling!
So if that's the case Lambo can we all PLEASE drop the subject altogether, because the longer it goes on the more bitter it becomes.
Why reach a compromise with just CTWD? They have less than 2k members. A good proportion of which have emigrated. I realise they make a lot of noise but unless they had over 10k genuine members made up mostly of season ticket holders... Why compromise with them?
That's not a compromise in any way shape or form. You might just as well say: 'Something like keeping the existing name in full (including AFC) and Assem Allam withdrawing his quit threat for a period of, say, two years. If at the end of that period a majority of fans -- season ticket holders and those on the database with regular ticket purchases -- in a non-loaded ballot agree to a change to Hull Tigers then Dr Allam can make a new application to the FA. If not he forgets his batty idea and then sells if he wants.' Your idea is bonkers. If the bully was allowed to have his own way, do you honestly think he would willingly change it back?
Nothing would make me happier, only it's not CTWD that you need to talk to about that, it wasn't our press conference on Thursday.
As many have said, the FA won't reverse their decision. If the Allam's main point of the appeal is one of procedure then in fact it was the club that failed to follow protocol in consulting with the fans. A loaded, rushed poll just a few days before the FA's original decision is not consultation. The only failure in procedure was solely the Allam's. I'm looking forward to tonight's game - it's mid-September and I really should be going back to the KC. It's only our second home league game ! Just hope it doesn't turn nasty at 19.04 and I hope there are no banners aimed at AA of a personal nature.
You can bet your sweet bippy that the Doctator will not contemplate any degree of compromise. Don't ever forget: "Nobody tells me how to run my business! Nobody!"
