Even though titles say otherwise, I think the Liverpool of this season and last, edges the City of last season and the one before. Be a really interesting new season.
The squad depth is the obvious difference imo . We compare well in terms of the first 15 but below that favours City as shown in respective domestic cup record .
On paper, you're right, but I can't forget we beat Barcelona spectacularly without Salah or Firmino. Okay it was a one off but you can't underestimate effort and dedication to the cause. Our sum is greater than the parts, city's isn't. Sustaining it long term is the challenge.
