Nice one I was considering doing a little spread-sheet comparing results to last year to compare how we are doing in corresponding fixtures with a +/- points difference.... but don't need to now
Hmm the accountant in me decided to do a bit of analysis as well, on the corresponding games last year and how we did. I swapped Newcastle with Hull, Brighton with Middlesbrough and Huddersfield with Sunderland as well. With the fixture list as it is, our corresponding first win would be 28/11/17, at home to Man Utd. (5 draws and 8 losses against the equivalent sides up until then) Then it would be 3 losses, 4 wins, 5 losses then 4 wins. December does look a really big month for us where we'd hope to pick up quite a lot of points!
I'm going to see if I can keep a continuous record of our position but it may tax my ability with producing the table.
You are doing a great job .The last 2 years the best we have got has been 3 pts from the next 3 games so that has to be our target ,lets get them this sat .my 1st trip with the 1881 club
Sounds like the team has not been unduly scarred by Sat-I think I was though! Anyway, our form prior to Sat suggests we can win either or both of our next 2. If both we are averaging 2 points a game-that is dreamland! Whatever, we are definitely on the up. COYH
If we look at the 4 games Liverpool was all about is he staying or going they have looked poor at the back for sometime but there class showed but for only 15 min when they put 2 away all in all a fair result (in years gone by i think we would have lost) but a good time to play them. Then our trip to the divers i have been trying to see extended highlights but im told by guys that went there we was all over them and the stats looked like we had a lot of shots on goal but there current form shows they are a poor side this year We would hope to beat the seagulls but in the end we was happy with the draw Last but the best, The Grim Reper gets his 1st live game in. Southampton are finding it hard to score and they had a few chances but our 3 center mid boss the game plus remond had a quite game for him . So to sum up we should have won one and get 2 draws from the other 3 games that makes us 3 point better than i had hoped for with our current players missing Once we have our players back we will be a hard team to beat
Looking at the next 7 games, last season we picked up 2 points (home to Swansea and West Ham). It isn't easy run of games but would hope we could better that
Early days etc blah blah blah but 1) keep this up and we will have 60 points with 3 to play. I would rather wait for next 3 (10 games) but looks good for now 2) if we look at who we've played and assume the top 6 ( usual suspects) are in 1 group and all the rest are in another (inc. us) then so far we have 1 other from 2 games against top 6 and 11 from 5 against the rest. We have 26 games against the rabble and 12 against the elite. Extrapolating the results we get 61 points with 1to play. Quite like it as it stands!
