You are not going to believe what I came across So where is it written that being given £80+m pounds and being assured of £xm's when you have failed to survive in the PL, means you are suddenly deemed to be "lightyears ahead" and a "better run club" ?? I seem to recall similar circumstances occuring at another (then) PL club. They spent heavily on so called star players- all on hefty contracts and many were supposed stars from abroad. That Club are now playing imn League one and have had to be rescued by a fans buy out. Having a big bank balance, a Cat A acadamy that has never yet produced a player for the 1st team at carrott rood , or the signing of players from abroad for mega bucks does NOT mean they are a better run club. In fact I'd suggest they are throwing caution to the wind in an effort to avoid relegation this season. Bearing in mind they were in relegation form for the 2nd half of the season. If people think the goings on at norwich are a sign that they are ligjht years ahead, they are frankly "avin a laugh". As if he is actually comparing us to Pompey, what planet is he living on! Signing players for "mega bucks". We've spent just over £10mil this summer.... Masses of dosh for a premier league club! I think we are light years ahead, in actual reality. I was casting my eyes over this earlier (on TWTD) which has some right characters on it.... and I think the thread is actually very complimentary toward Norwich (although probably through gritted teeth) I think this comment sums it up for me though: "Clearly they have been better run from the moment they got thrashed at home by Lisbie and Col U. Whether they are still being better run probably depends a lot on just how good Hughton is as a manager and the judgment on these new signings" Certainly promising times for you guys and justified optimism around the club. it's now over to Hughton to make sure that these 'class' players fit into a system that works for you guys..
