On Tom Ince - Comoli says that when he arrived, Ince was near end of contract and recommended him to Hodgeson. Comoli said they offered him 4/5 contracts to be highest paid youngster, but no, he was more he was concerned about opportunities to play regularly. Lots and lots of conditions in sale, as we know. On Sterling - Always knew he was good, special attention to develop him. Should just sign, everything is perfect for him and doesn't know why he hasn't signed yet. Comparable to Bale, but better at a younger age. Only fear is of injuries from being so young in a physical league. I'll update with more as I listen. Nice to hear about Ince, clearly got a good mindset, unlike our other target Sturridge.
this is what I'd heard about Ince anyway and DC has not said anything we didn't already know about Sterling
Shocked at his sacking. Never expected owners to do so, nothing to do with Kenny though, of whom he had a great relationship. Kenny was shocked too by decision. I think they are the only 2 that were shocked tbh.... Jordon Henderson, very talented and only 22. Downing, created as many chances at liverpool as at villa. Goals not the same obviously. He sounded not quite so supportive as he was of Henderson and Carroll. Suarez bought to play with Torres. Torres leaves, Carroll bought. Suarez to play with Carroll. Carroll leaves, Borini bought. Just like how he mentioned the striker situation we have.
What he actually said about Ince was that he didn't like the style of play the club wanted to play. Not sure a young lad in the reserves should be worrying about such things and DC alluded to the influence of Inces dad during the negotiations (no surprise there). Makes me wonder if we'll be signing two people if we do go back in for him. Very interesting stuff though. I do wish they'd raised the issue of the farce that is "moneyball".
I'm sure if you google it you will find plenty of quotes etc, he's tried to explain / defend it numerous times. In fact, there was a full article on the LFC website some time ago (when he was still at the club)
That concerns me. As you say, he shouldn't be worried about things like that. If he wanted to leave for more first team opportunities then credit to the lad. But after what Billy wrote, I'm not so sure.
Yeah he thinks he's the don when he isn't. Speaks louder and faster to win an argument. I enjoy the breakfast and drivetime shows. People don't get Adrian Durham. I do. He deliberately sparks debate rather than being ignorant which is what some believe. Love it when he winds up Arsenal fans - and he doesn't like Stoke which amuses me!
Yeah. Well they're both suffering from over inflated ego's. Stan who was good at football at times, but also liked punching woman and dogging. And Savage who epitomises the average British footballer. And he went on Strictly come Ice Skating. Doesn't bode well with me!
