You know the PREM season is almost here where the current PREM winners and FA Cup holders meet.

    Leicester v Man Utd.

Anyone still watch the season curtain raiser?

One time this was a must see game..Perhaps the fact that it is no longer on terrestrial TV has a negative impact on its standing.

I'm happy for the season to be back.

Only a few more days until the real stuff starts, back to infighting and 8 months of paranoia on here, just how it's meant to be <laugh>

I'll have it on marra.... Although it's not the 'pull' it used to have.
It'll be interesting to see how both teams get on this year.. I couldn't even hazard a guess ?!?

I thought the community shield was the winners of both cups, so winner of League Cup plays winner of the FA Cup.

    Is this not the case?

This is life changing for me, I had no idea.

Only thing I can think is that if the same team won League & FA Cup they would have played the League Cup winners?

Maybe that's where I've got it from, must've happened once upon a time.

No mate, if a team does the double I'm pretty sure they play the losers of the FA Cup, again.

Just read that it's the runners up in the League who play if the same team won FA and League.
