seems such a shame, hundreds of athletes (both able bodied and disabled) trying their hearts out.... and nobody seems to care... somebody needs to re-invent these games.

For me the Commonwealth Games brings to mind a bygone era of Ealing comedies, the War Office and BBC radio presenters in evening dress. Nostalgia value = moderate. Relevance in this century = zero.
