all for kicking racism out of football and society in general, but taking the knee was a pointless and meaningless gesture towards paciffying the woke society, and i feel embarassed by using the woke word,

I prefer the pointing at the respect badge on the shirts as it represents respect to all people who suffer prejudice.

I honestly don’t know why this winds people up so much.
Me personally I don’t consider myself racist - and I don’t care if people want to take the knee or not. It’s up to them in my book.

It’s a free world, people can do what they want as long as it doesn’t affect anyone else. Tokenism is pointless though, a bit like clapping for NHS during COVID and then Partying, better to not clap but stay indoors.

also I thought the whole point of going to watch football was for that 1 1/2 hrs, or whatever, the rest of the world, your normal worries etc are forgotten and all that matters is the game you are watching.

I’m not really interested in the politics of the players, just how good, or bad, the are.
