Just a quick one this lads, basically today at the match one of the old guys who sits round us comes to us before the match says "I came to say bye" to the lads next to him. They were shocked and couldn't understand why he was leaving BEFORE the match. His response was "Im not being linked to a club who has David Milliband in the boardroom (or something to that extent)" Then walked off.

Now im hoping I misheard him, but he never reappeared and missed the whole game today?! Gotta say Im pretty dumbfounded and wanted to hear your thoughts about it. Im hoping he'll turn up as usual for the spuds but im not holding my breath!

    .
Who gives a **** who sits on the board so long as it's being controlled by someone with Sunderland's best interests at heart, a board which does not interfer with the manager's job and which is supported by an intelligent and generous owner.

We could have Thatcher on there and I wouldn't really care.

Well... not enough to throw a wobbler anyway.

Do we know, or care, what Sir Niall, or Bonus, think about politics ?

Political persuasion has now't to do with the interests of Sunderland A.F.C. and the old lad's actions don't make sense to me !

I hope he returns so you can ask him, Teacher, 'cos there's probably something else bothering him <ok>

.....Troubled mind to be thinking of politics and football at the same time....If he came back would you really engage him in the question? My God! you get enough politics with big and small p`s shoved down your throats ....enough media spats about PC questions....last week Adrian Durham spent two days discussing the internal movements of a Sky presenter and admitted being jealous basically because he hadnt had the chance to expose someone of his own ilk....Inside the stadium it should just be PURE football ...maybe the reason the comment stuck in your mind?....Anyway....PEACE ...brother....dinna bother ya bit sel`

Do we have problems with South Tyneside Council about further work at The Academy? I do believe Davey boy has rather good contacts in South Tyneside (and elsewhere). He could be useful in sorting out a few things for us so forget party politics and keep the Club moving forward.
