It got me thinking. I've been to the Exeter and Newport away games and nipped down to Bath for the pre-season. I've also seen the Derby, Reading, Watford and Scunthorpe games. I will very probably get a ticket as a ST holder on the first day of sale, then try to get one for my son as a Supporters Club member in Priority 2. But I'm not totally looking forward to it...there are just too many idiots around....on both sides. I can understand those who will watch it on TV.
most of our fans say AG is too friendly, that's why we've been rolled over there so many times in the last few years But thinking about it, I'd be hesitant to go to the memorial because of the same worries your fans may have
Think the poster who posted that comment is correct. If you go and worried at all don't wear colours we all sound the same. And I doubt very much there will be any trouble at all. If the game was at the mem I would go and not be concerened. We all come from the same place and no doubt work and went to school with opposite fans.
I agree with Rod and by default the OS poster. Regardless of the JPT being a relatively minor competition this particular game is huge.
There is always trouble between us when it matters. I am just not sure if a JPT game really matters enough to both sets of fans to get the heat high enough on the day
No there isn't, unless your bellend who looks for it. Oh wait what am I'm saying you ARE a bellend so you deserve it
i understand and agree with most of that comment. but the last line was not needed and uncalled for really. thats just looking to wind up others. something tells me there will be more trouble as where its now on tv, some of the idiots will want it to be seen. can you remember the last time the game was on tv between the 2 sides? im surprised they havent made our games bubble matches like city vs cardiff use to be. i just dont understand why people turn to voilence. its just a football game. banter is fine but threatening behaviour and violence is just not neede. i just dont get it!
Plastic fans, simple as that. I heard you lot had a few problems against Newport, similar to the problems we had at Cardiff.. would you see these same fans who smash up pubs and chant horrible ****e at York away, or for us at Stevenage away? of course you wouldn't.
No been to loads of derby games you muppet but maybe I ain't got one of those faces, that people want to cave in for fun, maybe they think I've already been done, see got that joke in first You sound scared before you have even got there. Be sod's law I get some moron now jumping on my head walking to the ground
Not really scared ROD, just stating the obvious How many times have we seen your mob trash your own stadium when you lose to us? Or spit on your managers head and then riot on the pitch? If it happens it happens, no point worrying about it really.
Suggest its good on the TV for those supporters who are unable to afford (I now its only £15 ) the ticket price or our allocation is sold out. Oh yeh any parents worried about the atmosphere being tasty, can now at least watch the match with no concerns with there family. Not being a wuse at the last JPT at the gate on leaving some City fans close to the pubs (or maybe just drunken Hoolies) had a go at a number of Rovers supporters as they left the ground even though police were not far away, not funny if you have youngsters with you, so I am all for the TV option especially if you are concerned. Also the seats behind the goal have no backs we all stood up but that meant some short people or youngsters could not see the game properly not sure why they had not backs to the seats? COR
Bit ironic really considering the stuff that's coming out of the Newport game from a section of your fans..
