It's finally got the better of me. 1 year away from Blighty and the mighty Hoops has finally made me see sense and head home.

Couple with job, family etc means I am heading back to Berkshire, new job in January and finally back up to Loftus Road. Have missed watching the boys and will be looking get a half-season ticket when I'm back, or a membership at least. Can't imagine that it's too tough to get tickets this year?

Coverage abroad, especially Malaysia was awesome last season, but nobody here gives a monkeys about the championship which has meant trying to find dodgy Internet links etc. Not to mention the 8 hour time difference!!!! Besides, TF keeps ignoring my plea for a flight home to watch a game.......tight arse....lol!

Also, my kids are getting to the age where they could handle watching a game and would like to officially baptise them with a kit, burger and a programme at an upcoming game.

    Good times baby!!!!
Ps just hope we are still in same league position and have remembered how to score goals :)

    Cheers Willy,
Um, back to Newbury or Reading, not sure yet. Either way, a decent drive to W12 :)

I can't believe that it's been a year already Newbury. I hope you enjoyed the experience. I wish you and your family a safe journey home.

Welcome back Newbury ... I know exactly how you feel and LR has a draw about it wherever you are in the world.... and what a world it is as I reckon when i do move full time to France then I can get back for loads of games and the weird thing I have worked out is that I could even beat say for example Flyer or the Irish lads to a game.

If i fly from Toulouse : i:05 hour flight time straight onto the fast train. I can do the trip in 2.5 hours ...

    Countdown to retirement

I am a tad jealous. Incidentally, I moved to Sweden 20 years ago, today!

Good luck bruv...not for me personally as its far too good, but if it makes you and your family happy then it is the right move.

Hope the abroad experience helped you realize whats important in your life right now but it will change as time goes on.

Personally had to look long term for my situation but i wish you all the best mate...Shame we never got to meet but I'll be back at some stage in the next 10 or so years !! <ok>

    Put my beer "on ice"..!

I do miss my 10 minute train ride from Hanger Lane...then 5 minute walk. Still left home for a game at 1.30...but alas, not so easy now.
