Who can remember the last time we were a goal down to win the game? Yesterday we were a goal down to Stoke City and came back to win in normal time.It shows the players are getting used to one another. Comments.
A lot of postives from yeterday. Came from behind to win. Won at Britania. Extended a very good cup run. Gave Coates and Spearing a good game. Suarez got two goals after being a bit unlucky in front of goal for the last two games. They kept on fighting and grabbed a late winner as a result. A step closer to a trophy. Now they hve to win 1-0 to prove to themselves they can old onto a one goal lead.
for the record.... we last came from behind (not like RHC) on the 1st of january 2011 against Bolton Wanderers. They scored in the first half with Davies and we saw torres come out and score early in the second half and cole socred very late on to snatch the points at anfield infront of a very small crowd indeed. One of roy's last games in charge and actually his last win. Blackburn hammered us at ewood and roy got the push. I hope that helps! As.. for most of the rest of the season either we were trash on the road or awesome at home scoring goals and winning games from the front foot. The think is it's very vexing to be doing well then flog a goal to drop points.
I'm so happy that we actually came from behind to win! This season, even when the opposition scores I feel confident that we'll create chances to score, something I was never confident about under Roy or under Kenny last season. Fans of other clubs have been calling our signings mediocre when in truth they've done excactly what they've been bought in to do.. Create attacking football and chances and I feel it's only a matter of time before we start converting the chances Oh and Suarez' Goal last night was world class!
I needed this to happen to give me confidence in the team before WBA at the weekend. Need it to happen in the league to really count though!
I was thinking the same during the game.....where was this finishing in the league!!! Even still we were missing loads of chances, although Sorenson was on his game the first half.
