And Tottenham 2-1 Chelsea on the 22nd of Dec...

The table will look like this -

Hopefully we'll be in this position by christmas or there abouts, and we'll have a very winnable game to play against Bolton on boxing day! And we'll be 3 pts off safety before 2012!!

If a few results change, then we'll still be around the top 5-6 at the worst.

I skipped down to the table and was going to say I think Chelsea would be higher than that, but they've got some well tough fixtures coming up!

I don't know about comfortably, but if we get a decent result this Saturday being up there is well within the realms of possibility. I think Chelsea will turn it around a bit though, would be surprised if they get nothing from Spurs and Man City.

If we can get 3 points from the next game vs Chelsea (who are not performing well at all this season) then I'd expect a win in the away trip to Norwich as the team will be buoyed by the performnces and results in the tough 3 game run.

I reckon a strong chance of either us or Liverpool in 4th come Xmas Eve.

Chelsea will be higher than where you have placed them!

But where it matters, its extremely possible for us to be where you've placed us. Would certainly begin to start giving me a nosebleed.

  6. Yeah but look at the fixtures please people!!!

I didn't place any team anywhere, I put in predictions and the table took care of itself.

Chelsea have got City and Spurs, can't see them winning either, but if they got a point of both for instance, they'd still not be too much higher.

    edit - <doh> they'd be 5th lol

I reckon they'll beat Spurs if im honest. I think, starting with Wolves, they recover from this blip they're having.

Hopefully, they wont recover too much onn the weekend <laugh>

Two wins and two draws in our next four games would be very good. At the moment I can't see us not winning v West Brom and Swansea at home. Norwich away will be very difficult (could go either way) and it's tough to know which Chelsea will show up. Sturridge is more than capable of giving us a tough game on Saturday, but we have the personnel to cope.

Also got Bolton away on boxing day which is winnable given their recent form.

Wigan have it tough looking at those fixtures. I like Martinez, I think he's a good manager and would be very good if he ever got a job at somewhere like Fulham.

Its a festive period where you rob houses of possesions (Chrim (slang for criminal)) and give the items to the homeless so they can sell it for deodorant (i.e. Body Odour) and you get Chrimbo - the annual cleansing of the smelly.

I think your predictions for us are fair and not too far fetched, but it all depends on how other teams do. We could well have 34 points but also be sitting 5th/6th.

Thanks for showing some optimism where United are concerned putting us down for 4 wins, scoring at least 2 in each game as well.

All I would say is that Chelsea have a team capable of winning every game in that list of fixtures. Chelsea have been written off early once too often in my opinion, so I can definitely see them picking up more points than you have suggested, in fact the optimism in me thinks they're going to do City at Stamford Bridge, simply because they have to.

I don't think you included the luck factor in one or results either so think we'll easily be fourth.

Chelsea certainly have a horrid run of games coming up, I'd be DELIGHTED if they beat Spurs tho, so long as they don't get too many points from anyone else, that would be great for us!

Problem is we can't forget what we did at home to 'lower teams' last year. We should get 6 points at home to the Baggies and the Swans, but you know what we can be like!

If we do get six points then that would be amazing and put us on at least 32 points for Christmas Day and that is a marvellous start to the season.

Norwich away and Chelsea at home really could go any way, but I can't see us winning away to Norwich sadly. I think they are too good at home, but you never know!

Hopefully Chelsea will beat City & Spurs, if they do we've got a better shot at the title <whistle>

I think we will lose to Norwich away - they're a very well organised side at home. Your predictions aren't far fetched, though.

Rather just take it one game at time, though.
