The importantest match of the season
And one where there's room for no fear,
There really cannot be a reason
To not perform when we go there

Leeds will feel the same emotion
As the hours tick slowly away,
So close to a maybe promotion
A day on which to make it pay

I'd say the odds are still even
As to who will stay the full course,
So much will be about believ'en
So I'm backing the old dark horse

Form will go straight out the window
As will past meetings of the teams,
All that will be left in limbo
While each try to fulfill their dreams

So, cometh the hour we'll be drumming
Those in yellow over the line,
The importantest match is now coming
Until the one in ten days time.

I'm really not sure
As to just how proceedings will end,
Games of this kind
Are all in the mind
And on that, a lot will depend

As regards to me
All's well, reasonably
And I'll pop in now and again,
To meet with you all
For more 'on the ball'
And whenever I wish to pen.
