Come On Wigan

Just to keep all options open
And the season alive to the end,
This evening I will be hoping
Their winning run, Wigan extend

Although the odds are against them
The adrenalin they have built up,
Could help them find just one more gem
Like that with which they won the Cup

And should they beat relegation
For the goodness knows ump-umpteenth time,
This would be the greatest occasion
They find themselves above the line

I must admit I had them long gone
Before we reached the month of May,
But who knows, maybe with this swansong
They´ll stun us all with one more stay.

 

I kind of agree with the sentiment as it would be great to have something exciting to follow on Sunday and tbh I could not care less who qualifies for the CL, that just does not generate any excitement in the TC camp these days.
If it means the possibility on one of 4 teams to go down then come on Wigan, nick a win at the Emirates and make Sunday worth waking up for

 

Come on Wigan, make sure you put Villa and the smug Mr Lambert down final day.

 

Up the Latics - would like to see them escape again and put the Villains down ....

From a neutral point of view, a Wigan win is essential
Apart from the race for champions league football (yawn), they'd be nothing to play for on the final day if Wigan are already down tonight
