I think we're close enough to the end of the season to get away with this now, aren't we?

You can use this link and only fill in the results for Norwich, Newcastle and Sunderland to see how our mini-league will end up:

    https://www.thesportspredictor.com/#/predictor/with/season,pro,hideFinished,showTools

I did this yesterday and had Sunderland to stay up on goal difference. I had Newcastle down for a defeat last night though, so my predicted table as of this morning is now:

Couldn't really be any tighter, one result for any of us completely changes everything. I have a feeling last night was a huge, huge point. Not only in terms of points but psychologically too.

For us to stay up we have to pretty much take beating Villa and Palace for granted. Don't think it's a stretch to expect 2 wins from those two, they're the worst 2 teams in the league at the minute.

I thought Palace found some old form against the Arse on Sunday. If they play like that against you guys you won't beat them.

Agreed but this is a team that has won once since the turn of the year, one swallow doesn't make a summer. We NUFC fans know about Pardew all too well, I fancy us to beat them. The bookies odds for that game will back me up I'm sure.

Could be anybody. All I know is if Norwich had beaten us it would have been curtains for the both of us. From now on one game to the next hope can turn to despair quite easily. Not really worth predicting anymore, owt can happen!

Pardew will love the thought of sticking right up the Geordies who hounded him from the first day he arrived at at the club. I cannot see you beating them.

Its still too hard or impossible to predict.
Anything can happen just like last night, still too many twists and turns left to go.
I am waiting to see how we stand with 1 game to go.

The funny part is, the two games Newcastle are expected to win, they got 1 point from in the reverse fixtures.

The two games everybody expects them to lose, they got 6 points from in the reverse fixtures.

Anything can happen in football, anything.

As bad as City were last night I also thought Newcastle were poor. Can see the pace of Palace tearing them a new one. Newcastle are my main concern but I reckon we can survive. Would prefer a 3 point gap before last day of season however.

Don't see the relevance tbh. It's not like a manager can "try harder" because it's his former club. Only players can do that, it's more likely to benefit us than them.
7 points from 4? I'd take that again. Give us a more than 50/50 chance to stay up.

Allardyce achieved nothing with the same motivation going into the last game of last season, with West Ham, getting players to buy into a manager's personal issues is just impossible, especially at Palace where they've not been turning up for Pardew at all for 6 months now.

I'm not saying they won't beat Newcastle, but that logic is irrelevant to the game.
