Never even saw it TBH. I'll have a look-see...

Edit: It's there on the board comm. Minxy deleted it and asked you to PM her about content. I don't see anything overtly out of order in the OP, but the responses "religious" posts provoke are always contentious.

It's always gonna be a touchy subject to raise, Comm unfortunately this site has changed a lot, there's a lot more chains and red tape nowadays.

I'd love to be able to debate with freedom of speech but this isn't the platform for it. Unfortunately the choice is to toe the line or get slung.

Some of to best threads on here are off topic bullshit that just creates mountains of debate/arguments/slagging matches and that's why this board in particular thrives so much, nobody pussyfoots around, the fabric of this site is wasting away now and we're being left with a footy forum with too many rules.

Bit of a sorry state of affairs in the close-season.

The subject is currently in the news?

If the media are ok to write about it, there shouldn't be a problem?

There's nowt to talk about football wise apart from the odd transfer rumour, so anything to encourage debate should be seen as a good thing?

I'm new here, so shouldn't say too much, but that's my thoughts anyway.

I don't think it's so much the subject as more the tone Comm.

I agree it's a reasonable topic to discuss, but if it comes across as venal, aggressive and any form " "-ist, (fill in the blank yourself), the Mods are gonna come down on it. And they have advertisers and sponsors themselves to keep happy. Someone has to pay for all this.

It's a football forum mate, and most of the off-topic subjects are fine. It's just the language that offends. There are kids on here. That's what worries the Mods. That and the advertisers. And to keep it on google. Nothing's simple these days mate. There are rules we have to abide by.

If you want to discuss something more confrontational, this isn't the place.

The only thing surprising about this is that people still try to post this stuff and still get shocked when it gets pulled.

Whether it should be pulled or not doesn't really matter. It will. It's as simple as that. Easy to say the site is ****e now but that stuff's always been pulled. It's never been allowed.

Not seen the thread in question, not been about too much but I'm sure they had their reasons and I'm sure we'll all manage without the thread.

It is a subject matter that needs debating. Burying our heads in the sand and pretending that ISIS recruiting young British Muslims to their cause is not a problem is not a viable option..

So am I right in thinking that Google which is American owned are now dictating to us what we can & can't discuss?

The site owner is playing by the rules, it all boils down to how much this site is worth in the end.

If you had a £100k Ferrari you wouldn't let people go round keying it and smashing the windows, in principal this is the same thing, devaluing an asset is ultimately what google are saying the crowd are doing by posting obscenities and so on.

There's a ton of people on here with double standards, I'd probably tell them if I thought it would achieve anything but it won't mate, the site is what it is now and these nuggets will carry on diluting threads until it's exactly the same as some corporate site, awash with political correctness.

I guess at that point, anybody wanting decent debate will go elsewhere, so this could end up cyclical.

Reading these threads has never been compulsory. If you don`t like the subject leave it alone.

Personally I think islam is a problem. There`s plenty of evidence. It`s in the news every day for all the wrong reasons and we should be allowed to discuss it.

I suppose from the owners viewpoint there`s a big difference between sensible, reasoned debate and a tirade of drunken obscenities.

That`s maybe where the line is.

That's exactly what it is gpops, it's not the subject that was being discussed it was more to do with the language used, it rarely bothers me unless it's unfounded.

Suppressing people can be done through censoring online, but it doesn't stop them wanting to talk about it.

Muslims are, right now the centre of attention. It's about time they evolved as a religion in order for them to take the target off their chests. All we tend to hear is how peaceful and loving Islam is but time and time again we are exposed to their dated, barbaric methods. This isn't limited to their extremists, it's in every aspect of their lives, from the way they slaughter their meat to the way they treat their women.

Ultimately, my thoughts are that they need to evolve, especially if they want to integrate into western society, it is not our responsibility to pander to their needs, they must adjust or they will perish.

Anger is a proper, real emotion that people are being denied the freedom to express, people are being denied the opportunity to vent and warned that they'll face punishment if they cannot control a natural emotion, whilst all the time, we see so many ethnics getting away with expressing their anger. This has crept into every medium, including this very site, you get angry then you're censored.

Have you seen what they get away with on GC?
Mick the prick panders to them & licks their arseholes while the rest of us get told to shut up & be quiet like naughty schoolboys.

I never go on there mate, it doesn't surprise me though.

Sounds like double standards, or maybe Minxy's just a screw with an itchy trigger finger.
