This forum is fast becoming as abusive and personal as 606 was. Start dishing out warnings NOW. 3 strikes and you are out?

I completely agree Bergy. I have been extremely disappointed with what I've seen today.

After such a scintillating race, one would have expected some really good debate and at least three cheers for F1; but all I've sensed so far is childish bickering from people who presumably didn't get the result they wanted, which has frequently become personalised, once again.

    Oh dear oh dear…

    Done!

Had enough of this forum and constant **** spewed out at vettel, he'll never get the respect he is owed, because it seems overtakes only make a real "racer". No matter what he does it will always be Newey that was the factor, never RBR or Seb.

Was fun while it lasted but I'm retiring from his forum.

What you going on about man, your not related to him, stop taking it personally. Each driver has a weakness , vettel is not as good an overtake on the track as hamilton, button webber of alonso, he just isn't, its just an opinion, christ :S

Silver Arrow- don't be hasty - we 've had 3 retirements to my knowledge. At least Manny is back.

You cant go on the internet and expect everyone to hold your veiws. I personally agree with you that Vettel does not get the praise he deserves, but to leave because of it is a bit pathetic. Stay and argue your point.

Are you sure that Vettel is owed a lot of credit? I'm not so sure. Just because I don't fall into line with what you want, you get all childish, and decide to leave.

Just stay and fight for your opinion. Please.

    SilverArrow.

I'm as unhappy as you are about people discrediting Vettel due to one poor weekend, but you do have to see the other side of the argument. I like Sebastian, but i have to admit, he's rather weak when it comes to overtaking. I feel that the 3 on the podium would have passed Massa sooner.

Go if you wish but it is stupid to get so worked up just because people do not agree with you, they could say all the crap they like but it is you that takes it seriously and personally. I like Button and Alonso and people always say that Button is slow or did not deserve his WDC, he can't overtake, and that Alonso is a cheat, he always wants his team mate to be number two, that his eyebrows are not glorious, blah blah blah. Who cares? Just because they say it does not mean it is right, and I have confidence and belief in my own opinions that it does not bother me if others want to disagree.

Silver A, Fans of all the top drivers have to take this '****', it can be hard to tolerate sometimes but you shouldn't leave because of it. Also, I suspect it will be a similar situation on any other F1 forum.

Anyway, you'll probably be laughing again next weekend after Hungary :)

Why are people getting mad... this is a forum ... specifically based on the pinnacle of Motorsport, we don't need this kind of stuff. Silver please stay lad, I enjoy your company and your posts. I have never had a problem with you, It will be sad to watch a guy with common interests leave man.
I have to take **** about Schumacher, but what you need is hope.. this hope has been with me since the start of the 2010 season, and has never wavered, one day I know Schumacher will win again, but not now.. Vettel is at the peak of his career, he wins 90% of the races, he doesn't listen to bull (get the pun) you don't need to.. critisicm is dished out all the time, we have to take it on the chin, especially MSC followers.. because one day, you never know when things turn around.

I've not really seen any evidence of this, but I haven't been on all afternoon and neither, it would seem, have the other mods.

SA's thread was a bit OTT, but the whole of the British public have been spreading equally sensationalist crap for the last two years and no one bats an eyelid.

What is going on with Alonso? He seems to have become more human this season, he's started cracking jokes, having fun with his pit crew etc. At times, i've found myself cheering him on, after disliking him for the last 6 years.

Totally agree, it was bizarre seeing him doing card tricks in the build up. :D

He made us see his lighter side today, I enjoy watching him race. I have been to Spain, they are the most welcoming and soft people you can meet, Alonso is as talented as Hamilton and has the same (big ego) personality, that's why when put in the same team it was so very volcanic. But they are superstars, we have to understand this.

I think perhaps he has mellowed out a bit, but also I do not think he was ever as bad as people thought/think, just the British media painting him as the villain all the time.

Alonso is far more talented than Hamilton is. He was romping away in the intra team battle 07, but issues within the team (justified claims of favouritism towards LH) affected his performance later in the season, allowing hamilton to get on terms with him performance wise.

Yeah just watch it, I am not going to challenge that, others may get ruffled with your views, but I have no problem with them although I believe they are equally matched.

Yes, I've been thinking the same thing. I was saying that on the "Have you ever changed your mind about a driver?" thread. I've changed my mind about him twice now! He's really cleaned up his act, calmed his temper and he's driving as well as he ever has.
