I am at a loss as what to say next. We have seen this coming over the last 5 years or so. It the inevitable tidal wave of shyte that will engulf this club and drown us all! All we want is a team that tries to play football!. If you cant do that, then fine. But at least try! This lot will not try and I dont know why! I can see no way back for us now. We may manage to stay up this year, somehow, but it will just prolong the agony of being a supporter for a while longer. The animal is dying, it is on its last legs, the humane thing to do is to put us down, into the championship, and hope that we are able to come back up, looking like a football club again. I no longer care about this season or about the players, manager, staff, chairman or any fecker associated with awful club..
I've learned to embrace the horror and I highly recommend it mate. It's the only solution and the solution is to learn to enjoy the pain and yearn for it. Seriously
It could be worse you could be a Sunderland supporter have you seen who we 0lay away in December. Dump Tufty and get say Pearson in to sort your defence out get a few proper prem pros in Jan...then...
As long as Lee Charnley and Graham Carr are making the day to day decisions we are in trouble. Mike Ashley argument aside, it is those two clowns that have the power at the club.
I tend to agree. The historic rot and continuous bad decisions are Ashley's fault, however since his speech at West Ham I find it hard to fault him. He let Charnley get on with it, pick a manager, coaching team, pick new players, and Ashley put his hand in his pocket. Cathro, paul simpson, McClaren, Charnely, Steve Black, Graham Carr, Bob Moncur and mostly the players need to take the flack at the moment. Ive seen alot of hate for Ashley over the last couple of days and yeah we all hate him, but dont be blind sided by your hate for Ashely to not see where the real problem lies. Tactics, formations, all that rubbish is pointless at the moment, we need someone to come in that can motivate and get the best ojut of the players we have at our disposal. A manager that players want to fight for, run that extra mile, chuck themselves in front of shots. Hopefully as the Liverpool game is being televised, I think attendences will be down and our humiliation will be public, if other results go against us, it may force Charley's hand, or better still, it might force Ashley's hand.
I can see Liverpool matching the scoreline from a couple of seasons ago. They are on fire at the moment. It pains me to say it, but I hope we get thrashed on TV. It will lay bare just how bad we are and how incompetent Charnley, Carr and McClaren are. It will also show the world just how gutless our players are.
Again I agree, It really does pain me to say it and I know I will get really really angry, fustrated, sweary, but I hope we get ridiculed live on TV just because I think it might prompt change. However I've been thinking that for a few years now, I think the more time goes on, the less I care. But then I get annoyed and angry that I dont care! Maybe I'm just an angry person.
Spurs and Pool are up next, if we can concede less than a combined 5 goals in those then that'd be great
Turkey don't think we've forgotten about why we are in fhis plight. You had the chance last seasons to change Toon's fortunes. You even volunteered. But then you bottled it. There is only one way to get us out of his ****. If you REALLY love the club, you'll go down to Hell, call for Satan, put some lippy on, get down on your knees and fulfil your promise. IT'S THE ONLY WAY. .
I said it before so say it again, worse defensive record after QPR (relegated) last season so surely to God you start there and work up the pitch but no and already we have the worst record so far!
I absolutely agree with this. I think there is a misconception that NUFC is a big deal to Ashley. Its not. Its free advertising for his bread and butter business and a side show for him. Yes, the potential is there to earn big TV bucks, but its just all a bit of a 'punt' for him. His 'do it on the cheap and see if it pays off' gamble is exactly that for him.............. just another gamble. If it works, great. If not, oh well. Penfold and Carr are the real issue here. Both have been promoted way, way beyond their capabilities and it couldn't be more apparent. Penfold needs to go immediately and a man with actual credentials within the world of football, rather than credentials within tea making circles, is what we need. Then Carr needs to either **** off or start racking up the air miles and actually fly over France once in a while, rather than stop off there constantly. Until these two clowns go and the god awful 'structure' that clearly does not work, is abandoned we will continue in free fall.
Who employed them though mate? We've had a solicitor, a casino manager and a secretary running the club since Ashley took over. He keeps appointing incompetent people thinking it's some kind of masterstroke, rather than just pay good money for an experienced football man. "The first thing you need to realise is Mike Ashley knows nothing about football."
Indeed, Ashley has consistently made disastrous appointments........ but realistically he isn't going anywhere. So those two need to go for the good of the club and , in MA's case, for the good of his investment. Will they go? Almost certainly not. Ashley's greed is almost beyond comprehension for me. In the grand scheme of his wealth we are talking about buttons to get proper personnel in, but the man likes money and he clearly likes a gamble. I fear this season will be a gamble too far personally. I will be amazed if we do not go down............. and we will not dominate the Championship and bounce straight back up like we did last time. We can only hope that the lack of TV exposure for a couple of years whilst we languish will make him finally **** off. Dark days ahead at NUFC I fear!!
