1. Avoid injury at any cost. 2.Just relax a bit to be ready for the difficult new season with Real. 3. Score a wonder goal, that could be shown on Spanish TV. 4. Get Wenger's phone number. 5. Really give it all to the club, so they could win all remaining games and finish 6th. ?
A year in the prem at a club that doesn't quite cut the mustard could inspire him further to want to play for Arsenal, this loan deal could still work out in our favour . . .
So let me get this straight. He plays poorly, doesn't even warrant a sale of £14million (Which is quite a good deal considering his quality), yet you'd still want him at Arsenal? I'm not having a go but c'mon, where's the ambition? If the situation was the other way round I wouldn't want him to come to us after playing poorly with Arsenal.
1. Avoid injury at any cost. 2.Just relax a bit to be ready for the great new season with Liverpool. 3. Score a wonder goal, that could be shown on any TV. 4. Get Wenger's phone number to tell him he's a ****. 5. Really give it all to the club, so they could win all remaining games and finish 1st.
6. Turn off the Playstation and get back to Madrid. Scousers should know that Arsenal was his preferred destination, we just weren't as desperate as Liverpool to play Mourinho's bitches.
Carroll , then Downing , now Sahin ........... Liverpool is the black hole of talented footballers. Once they enter the just disappear forever. I hope they get relegated , Sahins choice would then seem even more hilarious.
I didn't say he'd play poorly, I said he may not enjoy it if he was at a club that didn't cut the mustard. He could still play well in an average Liverpool team. No disrespect, but I can't see Liverpool finishing in the top four. Sahin wanted to come to Arsenal, a year in the prem may just whet his appetite even further.
Nah, we backed off because RM had managed to find a bunch of idiots who would pay more for the fee without an option to buy, and pay more of his wages. Obviously when it comes to ******ed deals we couldn't compete with the team that payed 35mil for Carrol. Sahin had made his preferences clear. I'm sure he'll be a professional and play to his best of abilities for his last choice team though.
I was going to pretty reasonable and have a debate, until I seen the bitter comments. You've just said you'd want a player who didn't cut the mustard, and you've also called us average, so therefore if he's only average he'll fit in our team, would he not? If he played any poorer then he is obviously poor, and as a Arsenal fan, you'd still want him.. To the rest of you lot, grow up and stop being bitter, if he doesn't play well then its not a big loss, its a one year loan deal, but if he does play well you'll have to admit it would have been worth the risk. And all those comments about Liverpool, just take it on the chin people, teams miss out on signings all the time, if you don't see your manager complain (The one who's job it is to find players) then why does it bother you so much? Got this problem with Swansea fans too, stop b****ing!
No, I didn't say that Read my original comment again. I said that if he's playing in a team that doesn't cut the mustard, but gets a taste of the prem, then it may strengthen his desire to play for Arsenal
Getting Sahin on loan should not be Arsenal's first priority. They need a new decent forward. Someone who will carry them through a season like RVP did before he decided to leave the kids and go play for a team that are guaranteed to challenge for honours. This is a stupid thread and is just an excuse to have a dig at underachieving Liverpool. Good luck this season goonies because you'll definately need it
Yadda yadda . . . For the record I think Sahin is a quality player and I still hope that if there's a chance to sign him, we will
Liverpool are guaranteed to be competing for honours? Don't make me laugh. They only reached the FA Cup Final last season because of favourable draws in every round, and in the League Cup they only made it to the Final in the first place because of poor penalty decisions in both legs against Manchester City. Their draw with Cardiff and subsequent 'victory' on penalties hardly covered them in glory either. Perhaps you're talking about the league? There are at least half-a-dozen better teams, and they'll be lucky if they finish less than 30 points behind the two Manchester clubs.
