Not been over to the Barcodes board lately but no doubt they're over the moon he's staying till the end of the season. If i was a mag I'd be worried just how unhappy he is. I know I don't want players at our club who don't want to play for us, especialy when they're so public with their unhappiness. Should they have let him go this window?

I think they were right to keep him until the summer thus allowing him to score a winning own goal for us against them up there. That'll learn Pardeaux a lesson.

He's got some personal issues with his family, but we cannot just let him go. He was offered the choice to buy out his contract, but he didn't.

Colo is an intelligent person, and he reacted well to the fans support against Reading. I think he'll be alright.

I'd probs have let him go, with Taylor due back and Mbiwa signed.

You never know, quality as he is, will he be focused? Could a moments lapse cost points?

I'd have let him go, seems the best time.

Yet another thread about a Newcastle player on this board, why is this topic appropriate for the Sunderland board?

We aren't in a position to let him go. Might of considered giving him some time off to sort out his issues. But no way should we of sold him this window. Ever since this **** storm came about he has been playing and I can't fault his application so far. Pardew works with him everyday. If at any point he is lacking, I'm sure he will be hooked.

I'm surprised people are saying they would have let him go. We can debate how much he is worth (personally I wouldn't sell him for anything less than £7-8m as he'd cost at least that to replace) but we were basically going to get nothing for him. Yes he wants to go for "non footballing reason" but if you found out that Sessegnon wanted to go for non footballing reasons and the options were to let him go for free (or thereabouts) or try and get something out of it for the club what would you expect?

If clubs let players walk then we could be opening a can of worms.

I think its pretty natural to gossip about your enemies, whether it be Newcastle, or that twat from down the road, or the idiot who gets in the pub!

Actually mate this is a football forum and when the captain of a top flight club is so public over his unhappiness it becomes of national interest to any football fan. I'm sure this situation has been spoken of on many other boards, why don't you cry to them? Or.. you could write a letter of complaint to every newspaper and football blogger in the country and cry at them for having an opinion on your very public captain. My article did not intend to offend, it contained no abuse, just observations. Jarramag88 seems to be able to have football discussion without coming across as an inbred why can't you? Loser.
