Unconfirmed rumours are abound that Stevie 'Brolly' McLaren is to offer 40 year-old former hit man Stan Collymore a way back out of retirement on a 6 month contract. McLaren, interviewed last night refused to rule out the return of Stan 'The Man' to the City Ground saying "It is an option, if George Boateng can hack it at this level then so could Stan. A few miles on an exercise bike is all he needs really, other than that he knows where the goal is.. he knows where the bar is too but we won't go into that" Another ex-Reds, midfielder Steve Stone was spotted looking round Nottingham version of Hymers' College, quizzed on this, McLaren replied "Steve's played for England, he's 39 and has all the experience we're looking for in the dressing room, I don't know about on the pitch yet but he'll add something somewhere" McLaren was less certain about another cult hero though.. "I called Trevor Francis the other night but he told me he'd retired.. pity, he's scored in a European Cup final something none of my Boro players managed"
Very good! Can't believe they are signing the Boat and I'm highly sceptical about what use they will get out of Greening this season.
