Collison is expected to sign on the dotted line next week and we are likely to move to bring Joniesta back for another spell on loan...... Sounds good to me ..........I'm sure some will moan if this happens .
Not me, if these come off I would say that is a pretty good week MM & ME have had, kept hold of assets and strengthened our under performing midfield, that is what everyone has been asking for right?
Not sure where you got this from but if correct then the Collison deal would be ok, as long as he is 100% fit! The Williams (not Joniesta as that is an insult to Iniesta) deal for me would mean the likes of Bish or Henshall dropping down the pecking order. So would you rather one of our own miss out on development whilst we develop another clubs player, not for me im afraid, different if it was with a view to a perm move but there is no chance of that is there!! So you are right Weighty, some will moan!!
I couldn't care less if we had 10 loanees in our team, as long as means not playing Skuse. What a wet blanket and a total waste of space - can't tackle, can't head, is slow, and can't pass forward, and can't even pass the ball more than ten feet. If these two do sign, it could only be possitive, as they are certainly no worse than what we already have. Although i really can't see Williams signing, especially if Stewart will be returning next week.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Collison I actually cannot say I'm too worried if Collison has moved on when I look at his career record. The most he's ever played in a season is 35 games, next best 24. Very injury prone, and probably not going to be suited to what Mick wants from a player. I would much much rather Ambrose. Taking away his spell at Brum, he's generally been a success story and still only 30. Very good delivery, good chance of a few goals too.
Lmao, everyone wanted him but now Mick has moved him on, nobody wanted him anyway!! Hey weighty, thats one down with one to go, remind me NOT to listen to any of your rumours! Oh hold on, i didnt!!
I'm mixed on Collison Spanish. Clearly a fully fit fully functioning Collison would be something of a coup. If that were the case mind you, I guess he'd have a club already. I'd imagine he will still have reasonably high wage demands ( I could be wrong ) and we don't have the biggest budget ever right now. Also, how many games are we likely to get out of him this season, and in what condition would he be to play them? Would have been nice but I'm assuming there are a couple of solid reasons why it won't happen.
If you're interested, this video was posted online from your reserves game. I dare say your reserves weren't quite anticipating Alex Song lining up against them!
