Reading that Saints have just announced the signing of Zambian striker Emmanuel Mayuka from Swiss club Young Boys Berne, reminds me of that brilliantly talented (sic) Zambian striker Collins Mbesuma whom Pompey signed back in 2006 from Kaizer Chiefs after he had scored 35 goals in a season. Alain "Reggie" Perrin was our manager at the time. I believe we paid out £350,000 for him - what a waste of money that was He was totally unfit, completely lacking in pace. Made just 4 appearances for us. Let us hope that Saints at least saw Mayuka play before signing him.......
I'm sure they have WD...isn't that what Youtube is for?? That Mbesuma does ring a bell for some reason, just had a look at his Wiki page - surely that transfer has more than a whiff of dodgy agent dealings around it!?
