Colin has been appointed Leeds manager.
Have they made an error? Was there anyone better for the job available?

Good to see that he has made it back into the Championship a few months earlier than anticipated. Should be interesting times with Colin and Ken Bates working in tandem. Sadly given Colin's lack of love for NCFC their days as our feeder club may be coming to an end although there isn't that much left aside from Snodgrass to take.

Just about to post the same thing!

I thought it was very odd for Leeds to get rid of Grayson after the transfer window ended to be honest. If a new manager coming in thinks different players are needed, there isn't a whole lot they can do about it. I'm surprised Bates didn't wait until the summer, and then bring in Warnock, which gives him all summer to shape a team? I suppose a 6 point gap isn't huge amounts to make up to reach the play-offs, but I can't see them doing it. I guess football is all about instant success though.

Leeds fans seem fairly positive about it. I'd be mortified

I think most of the negativity is generated by his antipathy to us.Not a bad manager IMHO and QPR should have kept him.

Leeds still have a reasonable chance of making the play offs, its so open in that league. I think he can do a good job for them and he will get onside with the supporters, to start with anyway. He must have thrashed it out with Bates about what he's after so there ought not to be a problem.
I do understand that one of the sticking points at Leeds was the wage bill, old tight arse didn't appreciate spending his shekels on some players he personally didn't rate.

I don't generally have a problem with Colin, we've done pretty well against his teams. The main thing I dislike about him is that when things go wrong, it's usually someone or something else's fault (Grant Holt, Bradley Johnson etc.) Can't see it working between Bates and Colin long term, but we'll have to wait and see.

Apparently Colin and Papa Smurf are good friends! Can't see that lasting!

Colin has a very good record at and below Championship level! The main problems will come AFTER he gets them promoted!
