Chaps - NW has gone down 100% in my estimation for me with this, very disappointed and disgusted............. Your thoughts please gentlemen..........
It's not a signing that makes me happy, but to be honest i don't really care, it doesn't impact on us in the slightest. Warnock will always have legend status for what he did for us, but i couldn't stand him before he joined us. Football is a fickle game.
It is one of those signings that just doesn't make sense at any level! He makes Barton look like a model pro!!
This is a bit strong towards Warnock but he has gone down a notch or two in my thoughts. Having said that it is a very strange decision by him but probably one he took on the basis there's no money at Leeds and this is the best he can sign as no fee and only pay as you play. Desperation springs to mind.
Warnock will always be the man that dragged us from near the bottom of the Championship to the Prem spending relatively little. He was a bit out of his depth last season but how any QPR fan can call him a scumbag is beyond me. Diouf may be a **** but he's a decent player and he'll do ok there.
I totally agree with you, Watters. Dioufbag will knock in a few for "Dirty Leeds" and they'll all love him. The thing with us fickle footie fans is that it is OK so long as they're our ****s and scumbags, but a totally different proposition if they're someone else's. I don't necessarily subscribe to this, but it's generally the case.
I wonder if it's Colin's way of saying to Bates, "Let's see you sell that one behind my back and make any money, you bastard!"
After what He said following Mackie's leg break, calling him a sewer rat etc. to then sign the low life, come on! I agree & accept that Warnock did a great job for us, and yes his morals have always been in question, but this is the lowest of the low. Just ask Jamie Mackie how he feels about it! I'll always be grateful for what Warnock did for us, but I can't find any excuse or good reason for this u-turn, so I'll stick with scumbag. Apologies if that upsets anyone, but that's how I feel.
I doubt Mackie gives a toss. He plays for QPR, not Leeds. Warnock owes QPR and Mackie nothing; if he thinks Diouf can do a job for Leeds then he should sign him.
I'm with you on this one. As much as I think he's a bit of a twat (Warnock) and have seen him tell one of his players to injure an opponent, the one thing I did like about Warnock was that he stuck by his principles. I might not have agreed with what he thought was right and wrong, but I liked that he was prepared to stick to them rather than casting them aside just because it would be more convenient. In this case he's just cast aside his personal beliefs about Diouf just because it might make his job a bit easier.
Warnock was praised by many for deciding not to bring in some dubious characters including Diouf and King during his time at LR. But by going back to the well of violent players so quickly now he is with Leeds it looks pretty certain that it was others at QPR that said no to these moves rather than Warnock. Couple this with the fact that he was responsible for bringing Barton to my club and you are left with a picture of a man for whom results are much more important than morals. Glad he is gone on many fronts TBH.
