One of the QPR fans on the forum I use has said now he'd rather have Dowie in charge. Bear in mind they've had Dowie before, and he's one of the fans that in the summer thought the talk of replacing Warnock then was disgusting and that he deserved to manage them this season for getting them promoted.
This annoys me about PL football, everyone thinks they have a right to be in the top half and they forget that 3 teams will always be relegated, regardless of how well the teams play there will always be a bottom 3 teams. Everyone thinks they are too good for the relegation zone (Blackburn fans particularly) even when there are better teams down there with them. Managers get sacked because the team is failing but if it's a **** team what do they expect? This kind of also applies to PB's sacking, but that's a can of worms that doesn't need reopening.
I couldnt have put it better myself. You hear fans of clubs like Bolton and Sunderland talking of the shame and embarassment of being relegated yet they've been up and down more times than a slappers drawers during the past 25 years. Why is it such a big deal now? 3 clubs go down every year and despite popular opinion it is rarely ever the 3 promoted teams. Get over it.
The fan I'm talking about has been saying since the close of the transfer window that if they're not in the relegation zone he's happy because the new owner didn't have time to provide the players needed for better than that. His problem with Warnock is with bizarre decisions being taken during games. Last night for example SWP was looking a threat on the right, got switched to the left and was ineffective. Instead of switching him back he subbed him at half-time and left on the player who'd been ineffective on both sides.
looking at the festive fixtures i dont see DQPR dropping into the bottom3. actually it would not surprise me to see the 3 lancs teams get relegated now. but i would prefer mad micks wolverhampton to come down for starters.
