Heathrow on high alert for snow hitting tommorow morning and lunchtime, expecting a lot of disruption and loads of flight cancellations. I await my call to come in and work ......White gold, white gold !!
-4 degrees at 8.00 am here in Lambeth, at present 1.7 at 3.00 pm. Yakutsk is looking "bracing": http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2013159
Gonna be cold at upton park on Sat....might have to wear a pair of my wife's tights under my jeans...
The snow comes in, in force tonight, arriving in London about 8 or 9 am. Since the weather is not getting any warmer, I assume the Saturday fixture list will be hit heavily. The London games should be ok, I guess
Staines - I'm due to fly Birmingham to Frankfurt first thing (6.00) Saturday morning, then on to Japan. What are the odds? And apologies for using you for personal travel advice, but you are the site expert!
As I said mate, we are on high alert at LHR and from what I've heard are getting prepared for major disruption. Sometimes these things aren't as bad as they think they are gonna be but usually it's pretty accurate within 24 hours. I don't think BHX is expecting to be hit so hard but you know airports...a little bit of bad weather creates a hell of a lot of disruption.
I'm due in from Houston on Saturday morning and then off to Upton Park. Guess that might not happen as Heathrow is very fragile under poor weather.....Staines, not sure what you do at LHR but pull out the stops if you can ;-)
Typed a long message then realised you were crew ( if I remember right) If you have to leave your case or have any problems running late for the match then just let me know mate and I'll look after you. My Mrs is on Saturday morning. Good luck
What a fine gent and a proper R you are. Not got a case so just need to make it to the car park in time. Thanks for the offer though, mate, much appreciated!!
No worries matie, anytime you have a problem I'm there to help. We gotta look after our own 'cos no one else will .
Cheers mate. I have been sensationally lucky with delays over the years - only once led to an unwanted overnight - so I can't really complain. Lufthansa also good at sending texts when things change. Only gripe is I will have to get up sensationally early Saturday morning, irritating if unnecessary. Biggest risk is the car, crap in snow.
As I said before mate, if you ever have any problems with lost baggage anywhere in the world just PM me and I will look into it for you ( likewise anyone on here). But if you lose your bag with 'Air Transat' in Cancun, Mexico I will really think you are taking the p***
-5 this morning in the Peaks West of Sheffield. Currently hovering around 0.....plenty of drifting snow forecast tomorrow and Saturday. I might not make Wednesday v Wolves if Owler Bar gets blocked.
